ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The TFT-LCD industry continues to increase rapidly. The assembly process is speeding up whether in Taiwan or in overseas factories. Therefore, there are a number of risk factors for ergonomic hazards that we need to consider. We established an ergonomic selfmanagement group in our panel industry cooperation. In order to help the plants overseas adopt ergonomic hazard evaluation and improve systems, we share experiences and methods of evaluating the risk factors of ergonomic hazards and improve strategies with them. The research includes four parts: (i) Key indicators method (KIM), (ii) the program for carrying designed by IOSH, (iii) basic training for employees, (iv) improving strategies. The results of the research should not only be adopted for designing the work station and for developing self-management groups in factories overseas, but would also provide relevant high-tech electronic industries with methods of evaluating the factors of ergonomic hazards.
