ABSTRACT
Leadership implies knowledge, ability, experience, and wisdom about the collective action and the environment, the world where it takes place, in order to interact successfully with its complexity. Leadership stands together with seamanship and airmanship. The complex nature of social and organizational dynamics made its first sudden qualitative leap by setting up political institutions, different kinds of organizations, wider economies, and contacts between cultures. Although living in a complex system, people generally saw very little change over their lifetimes. Our world’s complex system is creating quicker and quicker hypercycles. The rediscovery is a complex event, happening through the very mechanisms it is describing. The quantity and quality of exchanges multiplied regarding the shapes of knowledge and of operations in the community itself mulitplied, up to the quantum leap, a catastrophic bifurcation that transformed this hypercycle, the discovery, in proposal.
