ABSTRACT
The porosity of a rock is defined as the percentage of empty spaces in relation to the total volume of the rock, as well, a pore is defined as the space not occupied by solid material. In carbonate sedimentary rocks, porosity formation involves complex processes in which intervene factors such as the depositional environment, diagenetic processes and the fracturing of the rock.
