An acute-care hospital recently embarked on building and designing a new Women’s Center to respond to the exponential growth of women’s healthcare needs in their market area by rede’ning, refocusing, recon’guring, and expanding its women’s health services line. They had an existing smaller center with fewer services that was part of their outpatient healthcare. It is recognized that a “one-stop shopping” model where women can receive a comprehensive range of services conveniently, comfortably, ef’- ciently, and with speed and ease is desirable.
