ABSTRACT
Abstract-The feasibility of UV curable, highly hydrophobic topcoats to improve dirt take-up and cleanability of coated fabrics, as used for the construction of textile roofs, was studied. Besides the chemical composition of the lacquer topcoats, topographic effects were considered, namely the generation of micro-roughness using a novel UV curing process (‘micro-folding’).
