Buried pipelines for oil & gas transportation are subjected to Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC phenomena) due to synergic and simultaneous actions of specific environmental conditions and slow strain rates induced by internal pressure fluctuations and landslides of surrounded ground [1-3].
