ABSTRACT
The Army Research Laboratory has launched a research program, Relevant Information for Social Cultural Depiction (RISC-D) to understand and model the socio-cultural factors that affect Soldier/Commander decision making. Through synthetic analysis of the literature, we have developed a draft taxonomy of sociocultural factors that are potentially influential to decision making. This paper discusses our taxonomy development process, introduces the taxonomy framework and lays out our next steps for this line of research.
