A common question that is asked with regard to evacuation is a justification of the additional costs of preparation. However through efficient and effective training it is possible to increase human performance, increase safety, and create a higher morale for an organization at large. Further research can focus on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the model and updating it accordingly. Through organizational leadership and implementation, the benefits of HSI can be recognized. This, in turn, could save the lives of potential victims next time an emergency strikes.
