ABSTRACT

The evacuation behavior in the task was measured to reveal which information was useful for the evacuees as addition to the base map when they evacuated using a PDA. As the results, it is found that the grasp of the present location affects planning of the route selection for the subjects in the evacuation task. The combination of the situations of the grasp of the present location and the plans of the route selection can evaluate the quality of evacuation behavior. The evacuation behavior of the elderly subjects is a relatively low quality compared with that of the young subjects. It is considered that they are not familiar with using the PDA.
