ABSTRACT

Within a research project, a numerical control unit based on a cognitive architecture and its ergonomic human-machine interface are developed for a robotized production unit. In order to cope with novel systems, the human operator will have to meet new challenges regarding the work requirements. Therefore, based on a first prototype of an augmented vision system (AVS) assisting the human operator in error detection the system is enhanced in order to deal with the task of a cooperatively error correction of the human operator and the cognitive controlled technical system. A laboratory experiment was carried out to compare two different participant groups (different professional education) and to investigate different decision support modes. A total of 44 participants participated in the experiments.
