ABSTRACT

Correctly acquiring body measurement in motion is very important step in high-performance sportswear design for wear ease design. Traditional manual method with tape and 3D body scanning are effective way to collect body measurements in static state. When body in motion, refereeing points of human body in motion cannot be determined. So, these two anthropometrical methods are not suitable for body measuring in motion state. In order to correctly measuring human body in motion state, one new anthropometrical method body motion analysis system is introduced and corresponding body measuring experiments in running state with this new technique are conducted in this study. Based on acquired results, the accuracy of this technique are tested by comparing with manual method and 3D body scanning. The research results indicated that body motion analysis system is one effective and accuracy method not only used in body measuring in static state, but also in body measuring in running state. Moreover, the body measurement changing in running state is analyzed based on collected body measurements in experiment and finally, correct wearing ease values designed for high-performance sportswear are determined.
