ABSTRACT

Radiation curing is the use of electron beam (EB) or ultraviolet (UV) radiation as an energy source to induce the rapid conversion of specially formulated 100% polyurethane reactive liquids to solids. These specially formulated polyurethanes can be coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, or potting compounds. In the case of adhesives and sealants, the desired conversion may be from a liquid to a semisolid.
