ABSTRACT

Sorption experiments were carried out using peat, modified peat and 2 commercially produced sorbents. Arsenic was used in two inorganic forms [As (V) and As (III)] and one organic formcacodylic acid (C2H7AsO2). Sorption data were fit to Langmuir sorption isotherm model, higher determination coefficient was observed for linear form of Langmuir isotherm (R2 = 0.998) in comparison to linear form of Freundlich isotherm (R2 = 0.71).
