ABSTRACT
A standard one-step batch leaching test at Liquidto-Solid ratio (L/S) 10 was performed with all the mixtures and untreated soils (control). Glass bottles were filled with 50 g of air-dried material and oxygen-free distilled water to achieve Liquid-toSolid ratio (L/S) 10. Bottles were closed with butyl rubber caps and air in the bottles was replaced with methane-carbon dioxide gas (typical landfill gas). No pH adjustment was made. The experiment was run in triplicates.
