Speciation analysis and distribution characteristics of arsenic in Pteris vittata L. grown on arsenic ectopic remediation site

Table 1 shows the concentrations of total As, As species and extraction efficiency found in different P. vittata tissues. Inorganic As species as As(III) and As(V) were found in the roots, rhizomes, stems and pinnae of P. vittata, however, no MMA and DMA was detected. Similar results were obtained in previous studies (Ma et al., 2001, Tu et al., 2002, Wang et al., 2002 & Zhang et al., 2002).
