Colonization of freshwater periphyton under chronic arsenate exposure: Influence of nutrient status

P limited-As, P enriched-no As, P enriched-As. Solutions were made with 1.5 L filtered tap water. Water pumps were placed inside the jars to reproduce water-flowing conditions that stimulate biofilm attachment. A 12:12 dark/light period and a temperature of 21°C were obtained by placing the jars in growth chambers.
