ABSTRACT

The nano-Fe-Mn binary oxide adsorbent was prepared by the following procedure: potassium permanganate (KMnO4, 2.37 g) and iron (II) sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO4 ⋅ 7H2O, 12.51 g) were dissolved in 200 mL of deionized water, respectively. Under vigorous magnetic-stirring, the FeSO4 solution was gradually sprayed into the KMnO4 solution by using a sprayer, and the solution pH was adjusted between 7 and 8. After the spray, the mixture was stirred for 1 h continuously, aged for 12h, and washed several times. The solid was centrifuged, dried at 105°C for 4h, and calcined at 500°C for 6 h.
