ABSTRACT
Measures which govern robotics safety have been implemented to varying degrees in different cultures and countries. Different approaches to robotics safety reflect different procedures and philosophies regarding work. At one extreme, robot users may accept a high level of risk by operating robots without safety equipment. To avoid this situation, every attempt should be made to heighten worker awareness of safety rules and regulations. Whatever the philosophy of the workplace, the safe operation of robots should be a top priority.
