ABSTRACT
Cephalopod eggs and egg masses have been described many times, but no comprehensive presentation of the subject exists to date. What is more annoying is that even common inshore species for which eggs have been described in detail are still difficult to identify from spawn samples alone. It is not surprising, therefore, that much less is known about eggs and egg masses of pelagic and deep-sea cephalopods.
