ABSTRACT

Despite medical and pharmaceutical advances, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis (MS). While a growing number of medications can reduce the number of relapses and alter the course of the disease (see Chapter 2), people with MS continue to experience restrictions in their ability to participate in necessary and valued activities.
