ABSTRACT
Downtime at ocean facing ports is often related with excessive moored ship motions caused by wave action. Reducing the amplitude of the moored ships’ motions is therefore crucial to increase the on and off-loading operations efficiency, to minimize port operational costs, as well as to reduce environmental risks, especially when dealing with dangerous cargoes.
