ABSTRACT
Fatigue assessment has been gaining much attention during the last decades and much effort has been spent to develop methodologies to predict the fatigue strength or life of welded joint structures. The fatigue life of a welded detail may be estimated based on the S-N approach and in the presence of a crack by fracture mechanics methods.
