Explicit FE simulation of slamming load on rigid wedges with various deadrise angles during water entry

The impact between bodies and water often causes an extremely large load and high local pressure on the bodies. This slamming load often leads to damage on the hull of marine structures, and affects the structural responses. Due to its importance in the safety of marine structures, many theoretical and experimental studies on the slamming impact have been done in the past years with various methodologies.
