ABSTRACT
The recent advance in molecular genetics allowed understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the neoplasic transformations (Hanahan and Weinberg 2000). Cancer arises through a number of biochemical transformations (Hartwell and Kastan 1994) that induce the formation of cells with a set of particular properties such as unlimited proliferation potential and resistance to anti-proliferative and apoptotic signals (Luo et al. 2009).
