ABSTRACT
Furthermore, compensation efficiency, ζ, is defined as the ratio of the volume of the surface heave created by grouting, VSH, to the injected volume of grout (Vinj). This efficiency is affected, in addition to local losses, by the far-field geometry of the site. Figure 1 shows the difference between grout and compensation efficiencies as well as some of the boundary conditions that might affect the latter.
