ABSTRACT
The experimental program consists of testing onethird scale square (150 × 150 mm) column specimens with a height of 1000 mm in three phases as follows; Phase 1: Control column specimens without any preloading and without ferrocement jackets, Phase 2: Jacketed column specimens without any preloading but with ferrocement jackets, and Phase 3: Strengthened preloaded column specimens include columns strengthened with ferrocement jackets after preloading them with 60%, 80% and 100% of their ultimate axial strength. The number and details of the square reinforced concrete column specimens are given in Table 1.
