ABSTRACT

Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM) has long recognized the importance of ergonomics in its manufacturing operations. In order to enhance our existing expert-based ergonomics program we decided to pursue the development and implementation of an “Ergonomics Culture.” This Ergonomics Culture concept is one of moving from an “Expert help” model to “Skilled help,” and eventually moving seamlessly to “Self help,” all within the company.
