ABSTRACT

Estimating the biological pro le for an unknown individual is a crucial part of forensic anthropology, bioarchaeology, and paleodemography. Teeth are o„en recovered in forensic cases, mass disasters, armed con«icts, and mass graves associated with human rights violations, all of which may result in mass casualties or commingled remains. Due to its vast postmortem longevity, dentition is an important tool in determining the biological pro le and identity of an individual.
