ABSTRACT

Understanding who the intended end users are and their needs and preferences is a šrst step in the technology development process (Stanton et al. 2005). Both quantitative and qualitative methods can be used to identify needs and preferences for quality of life technology (QoLT) including (a) population-based epidemiologic studies, (b) surveys assessing preferences for QoLT, (c) šeld observations, and (d) focus groups.
