ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: In France, as in the rest of Europe, river floods have been increasing in frequency and severity. In the same time, the total urban population is expected to double from two to four billion over the next 30 to 35 years. These circumstances oblige to manage flood risk by integrating new concepts like urban resilience. The main aim of this paper is to illustrate that networks resilience represent an important issue for urban resilience analysis. Then, two main methods designed for assessing networks resilience are presented: methodology for modeling networks interdependencies and indicators for assessing redundancy. Finally, a Web GIS, implementing these two main methods, is presented.
