ABSTRACT
Over the last decade, the agri-food chain had to face multifaceted threats to human and animal health. Many scandals regarding food and feed safety induced competent authorities to reinforce and better the quality of their control activities, trying to guarantee the presence of tools that are able to detect any potential risk deriving from food and feed as early as possible.
