ABSTRACT
Zinc and copper are trace elements that take part in many important biochemical processes essential for living organisms. The number of biological processes in which these metals are known to play an important role increases every year (Alloway, 2004; Vlasenko et al., 2003). However, when zinc and copper enter the environment in excessive amounts they negatively impact living organisms (Siegel, 2002).
