ABSTRACT
Quantifying charged carrier transport in semiconductor devices on
a microscopic scale typically amounts to the self-consistent solution
of Poisson’s equation yielding the electric potential, one or more
kinetic equations governing the carrier distribution functions, and a
set of constitutive equations relating the potential to the distribution
functions and various related quantities.
