ABSTRACT

The execution model for the data anonymization model influences the productivity, governance, and costs of the anonymization implementation and operation. The execution model is dependent on the timeframe and the scale planned for the implementation of anonymization throughout the enterprise. If the plan is to cover only a few important applications belonging to one group or department,

then a decentralized model should work fine. If the plan is to take up the anonymization of the sensitive applications across the enterprise, then a shared services model or what is being called a factory model makes sense. This chapter describes each of these execution models along with its pros and cons.
