Alzheimer disease associations are voluntary organizations that advocate on behalf of people with dementia and their carers. The growth in these associations has been brought about by the quantum leap of public awareness about Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related disorders, particularly in developed countries. The rise in public awareness has occurred as a result of a number of converging factors.
