ABSTRACT
Ovarian cysts are relatively common and should be regarded as a separate entity from cystic ovarian neoplasms when considering surgical management. Follicular cysts are not neoplastic and are sensitive to hormonal stimulation. For clarity, ovarian cysts and neoplasms will be discussed separately.
