ABSTRACT
This woman is about to have a potentially life-threatening operation. The examiner wants to know what you would normally do before a CS as well as the extra precautions that you would take in this case. You must be thorough and go through your normal checklist, appreciating that with this type of case a lot of extra preparation is required so that the operation can be as safe as possible. The WHO checklist should be mentioned in any operative viva.
