ABSTRACT

The MRCPsych II Examination is a test of knowledge and skills, and requires a great deal of hard work and preparation. Papers such as the critical review paper and the basic sciences multiple choice question paper require an intimate understanding of the facts and processes that many junior doctors do not routinely use in their daily clinical practice. In preparing for the MRCPsych examination, a vast quantity of information has to be understood and facts memorized, ready to be regurgitated in a trice in the examination hall.
