ABSTRACT
Thorough knowledge of Advanced Life Support (ALS)1 and Advanced Paediatric
Life Support (APLS)2 as well as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)3 principles and skills is important to succeed in this section, and the respective manuals are a useful revision resource. Pay particular attention to treatment algorithms, formulae and practical procedures, as well as to resuscitation in special circumstances, such as in pregnancy or the newborn.
