ABSTRACT

For each of the following presentations of endocrine disease select the best management option. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1. A 72-year-old woman presents with worsening difficulty in swallowing food. Because of this, she is finding it hard to eat. On examination, you note a large, hard, irregular mass in the neck that is attached to the overlying skin. She tells you that the lump has been present for a month and has been growing rapidly.
