ABSTRACT
A new blood test is being developed to help detect the presence of tuberculosis lung infection. In a trial, 1000 patients have been tested. The trial produces 200 positive results and 800 negative results. Of the 200 positive results, 100 are false positives. Of the 800 negative results, 100 are false negatives.
