For each of the following scenarios, select the most likely nerve lesion. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1. A 25-year-old man is taken to theatre after fracturing his hip in a motorbike accident. Postoperatively, it is noticed that he is unable to flex his left foot either up or down. There is no sensation below the left knee except over the medial aspect of the leg.
