ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to review the equipment required for paediatric anaesthesia and describe some approaches to standard anaesthetic techniques. Planning of anaesthesia technique, communication with patients, parents, operators and the anaesthesia team are emphasised. The importance of airway management skills in paediatric practice is discussed.
