ABSTRACT
Some 20 per cent of orthopaedic practice relates to the foot (Mann and Plattner 1990), outcome measurements are poorly developed. An outcome instrument must determine the extent of residual disability and the degree of correction of the abnormality addressed by the index treatment. With respect to the foot there are several particular difficulties.
