ABSTRACT
The menisci are two crescentic fibrocartilaginous structures interposed between the condyles of the femur and tibia in the knee. Note that menisci or labra are also found deepening the articular surfaces of other synovial joints, such as the acromioclavicular, sternoclavicular, glenohumeral and hip joints, although this chapter concentrates on the knee.
