ABSTRACT
An oxygen delivery system is used to normalize or increase arterial oxygen pressure by regulating the oxygen supply to a patient. The oxygen supply depends on a combination of delivery equipment, oxygen flow, breathing pattern, tidal volume and breathing frequency. It has to be correlated with the patient’s oxygenation and blood gas values.
