ABSTRACT
The common clinical classifications of AHFS are detailed in Table 30.1.10 A number of factors have been
identified as common precipitants of hospital admission with AHFS.11 These include poorly controlled hypertension, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia and non-compliance of diet or medication.
