ABSTRACT
The differences in legal terms between adult and paediatric practice flow from the fact that children have not reached the age of majority (18 years). It is only at this age that the law treats individuals as having full rights and responsibilities. Lacking these, issues flowing from how the child’s rights and duties initially handled are represented by their parents.
