ABSTRACT
Germ-cell tumours (GCTs) are a rare group of tumours that arise from primitive germ cells. They are a heterogeneous group of tumours containing both malignant and benign subtypes and with the potential to differentiate along several disparate lines. They can occur within the gonads and at extragonadal sites.
