ABSTRACT
ACUTE PANCREATITIS You are a surgical PRHO in A&E. Mr Wykes is a 29-year-old male who is presenting with a 5-day history of vomiting and epigastric pain. Today the pain is much worse. His observations are as follows: pulse rate 95 bpm, blood pressure 110/85 mmHg, oxygen saturation 98 per cent in air, temperature 38.5 °C and respiratory rate 20 breaths/min. Please take a history and form an immediate management plan.
